A judge in New Jersey may decide today whether to return three children with Nazi-inspired names to their parents.
The children -- Adolf Hitler Campbell, 3, JoyceLynn Aryan Nation Campbell, 2, and Honszlynn Hinler Jeannie Campbell, who turns 1 next month -- were taken from their family by New Jersey's Division of Youth and Family Services in January amid allegations of abuse.
Their mother, Deborah Campbell, has denied the abuse allegations, saying she and her husband Heath were falsely accused by a neighbor. Deborah Campbell appeared in family court in Flemington today.
A spokeswoman for the agency said in January the children were not taken from their parents because of their Nazi-inspired names.
DYFS spokeswoman Kate Bernyk said the agency takes custody of children only "when there's an imminent danger to a child."
The Holland Township family first gained attention in December when a ShopRite bakery in Greenwich. refused to write their son's name on a birthday cake. The family ultimately traveled to a Wal-Mart in Pennsylvania to have Adolf Hitler Campbell's cake decorated.
